Here we are in the last week of the semester! I hope everyone is hanging in there. Below are details on the last couple weeks of class. Over the next couple weeks I will be working on making sure everyone's blog entries are up to date (starting with untagged ones), so make sure you've sent me links to any blogs that you don't have grades for but posted online. As I grade your class's unessays, I will update the grades to reflect the dropping of the three lowest blog grades. Please let me know if you have any questions, either through email or comments on this blog and I will do my best to respond as quickly as possible. I will remind you that this is a busy time for all of us, so if you need a quick answer, try to snag me before or after class. |
Week 15: December 7-11
Monday, December 7:
In Class: revisit writing credos (Noon; 1:10; 2:10); hand back best piece of writing; course evals
HW: Blog #12 due on Friday before class
HW: Reread the Course Outcomes in the Course Policies document. In your notebook, fill up on whole page reflecting on the things we've done in this class that have been aimed at fulfilling the Course Outcomes. Then write for 5 minutes on how well you have fulfilled those outcomes in your own work.
Wednesday, December 9:
In Class: turn in notebooks; reflective letter; course evals
HW: Blog #12 due on Friday before class
HW: Prepare a very short (2 minute) presentation about your second unessay
Friday, December 11:
In Class: Presentations!
HW: Blog #13: Letter to the class; How has the work you've done with your peers helped you understand writing and researching? This is your chance to think about all the group work you've done, the chances you've had to learn from each other, and thank your classmates for it!
I will add, although I'm sure I don't have to, that although you are encouraged to be constructively critical, this is not a place to complain and/or air grievances.
